The Picture Gallery at Temple Newsam hosted its very first wedding this April, showcasing the stately home's most spectacular room in romantic style. Hosting up to 150 guests, the Picture Gallery offers a truly dramatic setting for a ceremony and wedding breakfast. This is home to some of Leeds Museums and Galleries' beautiful collections of decorative arts, portraits and furniture. The room would originally have been used for grand dinner parties and has seen many changes during its long history. Now it's set out once more as it would have been in the 1700s.

Doncaster Corn Exchange has been brought back to life

Built in 1870 as a concert hall and marketplace, the iconic Grade II listed Doncaster Corn Exchange has reached completion following two years of restoration to bring the building back to its former glory. Featuring Victorian classical architecture, it boasts a dome similar to that of the original Crystal Palace. This isn't the first time the building has undergone a redevelopment having suffered a devastating fire in January 1994 and eventually reopening in 1997.
