This Christmas, The Beverley Arms, located in the historic centre of Beverley, East Riding, Yorkshire, is inviting guests to step through the wardrobe into a spectacularly festive world.
Inspired by the wonder and nostalgia of classic winter tales, the 38-room, 18th century coaching inn has transformed its entrance and courtyard into an immersive walk through experience. A giant wardrobe façade marks the start of the journey, leading guests through a beautifully dressed outdoor space filled with Christmas trees twinkling lights, enchanting décor, and cosy corners.
At the heart of the experience sits the courtyard with a warm, festively dressed canopy inspired by magical tales, where guests can enjoy seasonal dining, winter warmers, and a full programme of Christmas events. Designed for families, friends, and festive meet ups, it promises to be one of East Yorkshire’s most atmospheric winter destinations.

Guests can also warm up with the hotel’s new range of indulgent winter hot chocolates including Amaretto Velvet, Baileys and the “Naughty or Nice” hot chocolate.
Festive menus will also be on offer throughout the season, including an indulgent afternoon tea offering a savoury selection including a delicate smoked salmon mousseline beetroot waffle, a rich Wensleydale, chestnut and festive chutney finger sandwich, and turkey and cranberry finger sandwich. Sweet treats bring the magic of
Christmas to the table, with warm scones and clotted cream, warm mince pie, chocolate and hazelnut ganache, a festive sablé biscuit, and a nostalgic Christmas cake served with Wensleydale cheese. Finishing touches such as a Morello cherry trifle make this a wonderfully indulgent experience.
