Tie the knot at Thirsk Lodge Barns

Thirsk Lodge Barns is a stunning wedding and events venue located in the heart of North Yorkshire. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside and just two miles from Thirsk town centre, it offers a picturesque rural setting with good access to local accommodation and transport for your guests.

Choose from the One Day Hire or Extended (Two Day) Barn Hire options. You'll also have accommodation in the gorgeous Laundry Cottage either for the night of your wedding, or the night before and night of, depending on which package you opt for. With the latter, the Farmhouse is also included for two nights, so you can get ready on site with your bridal party and make the most of your experience.

The Main Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies. Here, two grand wooden doors open from the VIP room onto the aisle offering you the perfect entrance ahead of one of the most memorable moments of your life. The large windows overlook fields of wildflowers and there's a mezzanine level perfect for readers, singers and photographers. Meanwhile, the Bar and Courtyard make the perfect setting for your drinks reception. A large selection of drinks is available, and the team can help you put a bespoke package together to suit your taste and budget.

With open trusses, a large skylight and a beautiful oak floor, the Dining Room suits either round tables or long trestle tables, both of which are included in your barn hire. There's a separate bar here to serve your guests during the wedding breakfast, and the room has views overlooking fields and wild meadow. The venue's partner caterers offer everything from traditional, plated three-course meals to a more rustic offering of sharing boards and barbecue style feasts.

While you're enjoying your wedding breakfast, the team will be busy transforming the Main Barn for your evening reception. Here, the wall of fairylights makes the perfect backdrop for your entertainment and first dance, and there's a large glitterball that can be hired and hung for a real party vibe. Guests can dance the night away or relax in the snug Wheelhouse.

Thirsk Lodge Barns can accommodate up to 140 loved ones during the day. Further guests can then join you for the evening drinks and dancing, up to 200 in total. Minimum guest numbers are in place depending on season.
