Sedgewell Barn offers a blank canvas allowing you to style your wedding as you wish

Sedgewell Barn is set within 60 acres of rolling countryside in the heart of rural North Yorkshire. This relaxed, family-run wedding venue is a blank canvas that gives you the flexibility to theme your wedding as you wish, spending as little or as much on the things that matter most to you.

Sedgewell Barn is licensed to hold civil ceremonies with two ceremony rooms to choose from, as well as the outdoor courtyard and terrace area. The Rustic Barn can accommodate up to 80 seated guests for the "I dos." This traditional barn has maintained many of its original features including beautiful oak beams, which have been adorned in fairylights, as well as changeable coloured uplighters. There's a mezzanine level here, which is perfect for photographers and videographers to capture the perfect shots throughout. What's more, this barn is heated and can be turned into a cosy, relaxed seating area for the evening.

The interlinked Celebration Barn is much larger and can accommodate up to 150 guests for the ceremony, dining and evening entertainment, decorated throughout with festoon lights and white drapes. Being more contemporary in style, this barn has a terraced area, accessed by sliding doors, which overlook breathtaking views of the surrounding Yorkshire Dales. At one end is a fully stocked bar serving a personalised drinks package and cocktail menu, as well as a stage and sound system for the evening entertainment. Moveable room dividers can separate the dining area from the dancefloor, creating a more intimate space.

Also on site is some fabulous accommodation in the shape of 11 glamping pods, all with private hot tubs, en-suite shower room and kitchen; and The Nest, a luxury country cottage with private hot tub. There are also outdoor seating areas, the Byre has a welcome area, and several stunning backdrops for those all-important photographs. Plus, surprise your loved ones with Sedgewell Barn's very own confetti ponies: Pedro, Patch and Archie!
