Five easy ways to make the most of your wedding photos
So, you've donned the white dress and veil and said "I do" and you have plenty of magical photos as evidence – but, once the guests have gone home and the confetti has been thrown, how can you make the most of those precious photo memories? With the average cost of wedding photography now coming in at £1,560 per couple, it's understandable to want to make the most of your wedding photos - not least as it acts as the perfect opportunity to relive that special day. Here, Clare Moreton, photo expert at CEWE, shares five easy and creative ways you can make your wedding photos go further.
Create a wedding photobook In our digital age, it can be easy to discount creating a traditional photobook of your wedding day, but there truly is nothing like flicking through a physical photobook to help you truly appreciate your photos and memories. The process of making a book is also a great way to take stock and remember all the special moments that made up your wedding day. Wedding photographers will often offer photobooks as part of their package, try creating a larger book that shows off your high-quality wedding photography in its best light.
Remember wedding well wishes Making a photo album of your wedding day is the usual go to, but what about all those moments from your day that aren't captured on film? Wedding speeches, cards from friends and family and even text messages from loved ones are all special and emotional parts of your wedding day, but are rarely memorialised beyond the day itself. Change this by creating a book of all the well wishes you received from loved ones on your wedding day – whether that's photo snippets from a guestbook, a transcript of a speech, Facebook messages or photos of your thank you cards. We'd recommend using images of your loved ones alongside text to create a truly special memento.
Say thank you It takes a village to create a great wedding, and it can be hard to show your appreciation for all the friends and family that help out to make your big day so special. Show them you care by creating a personalised photobook of all the best moments from the day – you could even personalise the book and include a bespoke thank you message for each friend or family member. For other wedding guests, personalised thank you cards, using the best photos from the day, are a great lower budget option.
Turn your photos into a work of art Do something a bit different and create a piece of unique wall art that you can put up in your home to remind you of your special day. Whether it's a stunning landscape shot, an intimate close up or photos of details such as shoes or your dress, a photo print can be a great way to take your wedding photos to the next level. Print your best snaps on wood, acrylic or aluminum for a creative artistic effect and bring your wedding photos to life in your home.
Make it memorable and lasting What better way to tell the story of your magical day than enjoying a personalised puzzle with images that capture your wedding. From reminiscing about funny things guests said, to cooing over how beautiful the bridal party looked, a wedding jigsaw is a quirky and fun way to share those happy memories both now and in years to come. Whether made for you to enjoy with your new spouse, or created as a family game that everyone can enjoy, a jigsaw is the perfect way to piece together all those magical moments with friends, family and loved ones.
