We asked Yorkshire make-up artist Toni Neylon Walker how you can add some glitz and sparkle to your wedding beauty look without going over the top...

To add some sparkle to your wedding look, I'd always opt for a finely milled shimmer pigment. These have so much more dimension than regular chunky glitter, which can also be uncomfortable to wear. You'll also find lots more shades with iridescent and two-tone options. I particularly like Peaches and Cream products.

Stick to a neutral-coloured eyeshadow to create a base. Then, pat the shimmer pigment into the centre of the lid with a flat brush or fingertip and gently blend into the inner lid to avoid any harsh lines. Using a black or brown powder, line the lid to accentuate the eyes followed by layers of mascara or some wispy lashes for a soft, yet glamorous look.

Remember to highlight your cheekbones with an illuminating powder. This will give a healthy glow as well as balancing out the eyes. Finish the look off with a nude glossy lip, or even a red lip to make a statement.
