What can you expect?
Built in 1870, Durker Roods manor house is found in Meltham surrounded by beautiful manicured gardens. Once the private residence of Huddersfield entrepreneur Sir David Brown, its stunning exterior and breathtaking views now make this quintessentially English home a luxurious location for weddings. Inside, it retains many of its original features from the historical lobby to the sweeping staircase.
Time to celebrate!
The Restaurant (75 guests) is normally used for ceremonies. It boasts an original fireplace, while large bay windows give couples the chance to say their vows against a backdrop of the gardens. The Garden Suite (95 seated guests and 150 standing) is used for the wedding breakfast and party. This function room benefits from pretty vistas and a private bar.
The venue offers free menu tasting and the celebrations continue long after the big day with a complimentary first-anniversary stay with dinner.
