I'm Dawn, a wedding celebrant based in Great Ayton, writing and leading celebrant-led ceremonies across North Yorkshire, Teesside, County Durham, Northumberland and the wider North East.

The couples I work with don't want a ceremony handed to them. They want to be part of creating it. So we shape it together. You bring the story, the in-jokes and the traditions you love. I bring the ideas: rituals your guests can join in with, ways to honour the people who can't be there, and a few touches you'd never have thought of. You see every word before the day, and I'll help you find your own words for your vows.

With over 30 years of performing and public speaking behind me, I hold the room with calm confidence, so you don't have to. I only take one wedding a day, so you have all of my attention. And you'll spot me straight away: I'm the one in the bright dress and matching trainers.

It's written around you, not a template: No pre-written scripts and definitely no ‘pick option A, B or C’ vows. Your ceremony is built from your story, your relationship, and the moments that matter most, so it sounds like you, not like something you’ve heard before.

You're not fitting into a format: A celebrant-led ceremony gives you the freedom to choose what feels right. The location, the structure, the tone, it’s all shaped around you, not the other way around.

There's no rushing the moment: Dawn takes on only one wedding per day so she’s not clock-watching and you’re not left feeling like you’re being moved along. Just the space to be present in a moment that actually matters.
