A picture paints a thousand words at Temple Newsam

The Picture Gallery at Temple Newsam hosted its very first wedding this April, showcasing the stately home's most spectacular room in romantic style. Hosting up to 150 guests, the Picture Gallery offers a truly dramatic setting for a ceremony and wedding breakfast.

This is home to some of Leeds Museums and Galleries' beautiful collections of decorative arts, portraits and furniture. The room would originally have been used for grand dinner parties and has seen many changes during its long history. Now it's set out once more as it would have been in the 1700s.

Surrounded by highly decorated Rococo style design, the space is a photographer's dream with plenty of natural light and stunning architectural features. Booking the Picture Gallery includes full house closure for the duration of the hire, providing exclusivity for the two of you and your guests.
