New spa development announced at The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa

Proposed view from infinity pool at new spa

The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa has announced exciting plans for a new development of its spa, set to launch in spring 2021. It forms part of the owner's – the Bannister family's – plans to reinvest in the business and position it as one of the leading destinations in the Yorkshire Dales. The new name, Nàdarra Spa, means natural in Scottish Gaelic to reflect the Bannister family's history on the Isle of Lewis.

The spa will feature two infinity pools with commanding views across the 1,400-acre estate, a lake-view terrace with relaxed seating, fire pits and a covered outdoor bar, a 15m indoor swimming pool, a thermal experience with a range of saunas, an aromatherapy steam room, indoor bubble pool and ice fountain. To-be-weds will love the couples' suite with its double spa bath and mud rasul. A spectacular private spa garden will also be created, complete with a relaxation pod, loungers and two outdoor baths boasting incredible views.

Owner and director Nick Bannister says, "Over the past few months, we have realised how important it is to look after ourselves, our health and our mental wellbeing. Through the many lockdown walks we have all taken, we have come to appreciate the great outdoors and the benefits it brings. We're lucky to be located on a picturesque, private estate in the Dales and we felt it was important to incorporate our idyllic setting in our new spa offering."

Few people have seen this evolution up close quite like DJ China L'One, founder of We Run the World, the UK's leading Black-owned, all-female DJ agency.
