Tell us about your Yorkshire bridal boutique...
Cinderella's is a unique blend of down-to-earth, honest customer service and an extensive collection of top UK designer wedding dresses. Cinderella's offers brides the complete service – dress style advice from a seamstress while choosing your dress and the convenience of in-house wedding dress fittings & alterations.

What's your background and why did you launch your business?
After working in my father's menswear shop, I decided to take the leap and open my own business: a small alterations shop. After a very successful first year, I decided that I would like to progress the business into a bridal shop, which became Cinderella's in Skipton. That was 20 years ago and we still have contact with Cinderella's very first bride!

What's your top tip for couples planning a wedding?
When brides are looking for their dream dress they must always try on all the basic silhouettes (ball gown, fishtail, a-line and slim) this will help narrow down the styles that are most flattering.

What's the most common question couples ask you?
How long does it take to order a wedding dress from a boutique? To have the greatest choice you are realistically looking at seven months.

How has your business handled the coronavirus crisis?
Cinderella's helped one of our brides with a very short notice wedding dress alteration. The wedding had to be brought forward with very little notice due to family circumstances.
