Fiona Hemming 33, married Peter Barker, 37 at Gibson Mill followed by a garden reception in South Crosland on 25th August, 2017.
I tried on three or four dresses before I found the one. I wanted something classic and timeless and also really wanted a British designer. Vivienne Westwood is the epitome of an iconic, strong British female.
Pete wore his RAF uniform and his ushers wore the same. The 'sword party ' looked fantastic.
My hair and make-up artist, Sam Collins was super professional, she delivered the brief perfectly and understood that I didn't want to wear much make-up. I wanted a wavy hair do and she found a picture of Isla Fisher with the perfect style, so she copied that.
I wore the Sally veil from Rime Arodaky. I liked the white roses and thought it was a nice nod to my husband's heritage.
We hired vintage buses to take us from the mill to Pete's parents' house. It was brilliant as we had a quiz and drank Pimm's en route.
We hired the New York Brass Band for entertainment. We'd seen them at Glastonbury a couple of years before and they're so much fun. They got everyone dancing and did a little parade through the woods and on the walk to the car park.
We absolutely loved our cake. My mum has made it for my siblings and I every birthday for as long as I can remember. My grandma made it for us too so just oozes lovely memories. My parents had recently had to cut down a big oak tree in the front garden of our family home and I asked my dad to slice it up to make the cake stand.
We had a beautiful flower arch at the mill made with lots of ivy, white roses and hydrangeas. We decorated the roof with paper aeroplane garlands.
