Summer’s here at last, and for many that means tying the knot; glass of bubbles or Pimm’s in hand while enjoying the heat (which, to be fair, we need to take advantage of!). However, what I truly love about Yorkshire is that weddings are stunning regardless of the time of year. Autumn brings with it a red and amber hue, with falling leaves and a crispness to the air; winter offers a taste of magic, thanks to incredible scenery and venues dusted in snow; and spring is yet another amazing time of year to say ‘we do’, with snowdrops and crocuses blanketing the grounds. I know you don’t need convincing, but just in case be sure to turn to our two exclusive shoots that celebrate marrying in the spring (p53), or autumn and winter (p45).
Elsewhere, I’ve plenty more inspo to gear you up for the best day of your lives. Venue-wise, check out where to wed in Sheffield and close by (p15); or embrace the outdoors by committing to one another under a tent or tipi (p21). I’ve also been busy catching up with Yorkshire’s best cake-makers (p57) and venue stylists (p49); as well as chatting to three couples all about their amazing celebrations (p27, 32 and 39). Then there’s all the prizes I have on offer, from a bridal boudoir photoshoot (p9) and Titanic Spa stay (p13), to an incredible four-night trip to Thailand (p97)!
