July/August 2020 |

Hello lovely readers, and welcome to our summer issue! We’re dedicating this edition to all the couples who were meant to be getting married this season. Our thoughts have been with you throughout the past few months, and we thank all of you who have shared your stories with us. The silver lining for me has been hearing about the amazing Yorkshire wedding suppliers who have pulled out all the stops to ensure couples still get to have their perfect day – albeit not when they expected to.
We’ve got a corker of an issue for you; we’re celebrating the sweetest Yorkshire cake suppliers (page 42), looking at how to style decor trends in your own way (page 47) and we dream of epic honeymoon destinations to bookmark now (page 82).
We have opened up our back catalogue for you to read online for free to keep you entertained and inspired – just head to our website.

Spotlight on Sheffield venues |
|
Mercure Sheffield Kenwood Hall Hotel & Spa
Located just one mile from Sheffield city centre in 12 acres of peaceful parkland, sits Kenwood Hall. With its own lake and idyllic gardens, it provides endless photo opportunities in any season. Dating back to 1825, the original house is packed with period features and overlooks the grounds with a view of the city in the background. The modern extension provides lakeside vistas in a contemporary, versatile setting while the terrace is a memorable spot for a drinks reception.
There are three locations available for ceremonies. The Terrace Room (50 guests) and Cutlers Room (70 guests) are located within the historic house, and offer high ceilings, chandeliers and ornate windows. For larger gatherings there’s the newly renovated Lakeview Restaurant (150 guests day and evening guests), which boasts changeable coloured lighting and a dancefloor. After tying the knot, newlyweds can also choose to enjoy the whole house (120 guests) for their evening celebrations.
