May/June 2021

Looks like we made it! At the time of writing, we’re heading towards the summer of love, and I am ecstatic: sunshine, laughter, friends, family and WEDDINGS are just what we need right now.

I hope all of you who have had to deal with the stress and upset of rearranging your wedding are soon able to have your dream day – goodness knows you deserve it! And I hope that every hug is a little tighter, every dance move is executed with more pizzazz and every moment is full of joy.

As always, we’re bringing you the absolute best of the Yorkshire wedding industry this issue. Every florist (page 48), caterer (page 52), boutique owner (page 84) and venue (page 15) over these pages has had to diversify and show extraordinary resilience during the pandemic, and they can finally get back to doing what they do best: creating the most epic weddings imaginable for you lovely lot!

Yorkshire Heart Vineyard

Yorkshire Heart Vineyard provides an idyllic rural wedding location between York and Harrogate, in which couples can celebrate in style with fantastic views. The family-run vineyard and brewery near the village of Nun Monkton is a beautiful spot for a marquee set amongst 22,000 vines. Operated by renowned wedding specialists Louisianna’s Weddings, the vineyard offers a five-day hire of the site, allowing couples the freedom to create their dream day using their own suppliers, or from Louisianna’s extensive list of the county’s most sought-after companies.

Couples have the option of getting married in the local church in Nun Monkton, just one mile away, or they can hold a blessing in the grounds. Then, it’s time to celebrate in the newlyweds’ choice of marquee, tipi or yurt with up to 500 guests.

Brides and grooms will benefit from a dedicated wedding administrator as well as an on-the-day event manager to ensure everything runs smoothly. The bar is provided by Louisianna’s Mobile Bars, which will be stocked with ale and wine from Yorkshire Heart, boasting a grape-to-glass experience on site.
